As the nation's technological imagination grew during the 19th Century Industrial Revolution, so did our practice. In the late 1880's, an Intellectual Property law firm opened in Springfield, Massachusetts. It evolved into Chapin, Neal & Dempsey, keeping its exclusive focus on IP. In 1995 the firm merged with McCormick, Paulding & Huber of Hartford, an Intellectual Property practice since 1945.
Over the years, we've represented some of the legends of American Industry, such as Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson of Smith & Wesson, Joseph Gerber of Gerber Scientific and Charles Kaman of Kaman Aerospace. We've protected a sweeping array of great brands, from Rolls Royce to Indian Motorcycle.
